Newsflash: Abortion kills. It's that simple. The
unborn are not "fetuses" or tissues. They're pre-born children. Abortion clinics snuff out lives every day. Professor Hymie Gordon of the Mayo Clinic states,
"By all the criteria of modern molecular biology, life is present from the moment of conception." With the clear
knowledge that life begins at conception, abortion puts the innocent to death. God never makes mistakes: All life remains precious. In God's eyes,
we all are equal. He is on the throne and He is in control. Again, God never makes mistakes. When special needs children arrive, the Lord uses them for special
purposes. Special needs children are precious blessings. They teach 'normal' people lessons
we could never learn without them. Yet
the medical community now advocates screening for disabled babies. Then many medical professionals suggest getting rid of
the special needs babies! Parents,
who are emotional after receiving news their child isn't "normal," find themselves in a very precarious position
to receive the wrong advice. So many precious little ones are never given a chance at life! If you are currently
being presented with this situation, we urge you to keep your unborn baby. Their babies never cry. But the mothers do. Abortion
destroys. Women who have abortions think that it will be a "quick fix." Sadly, they enter a long problem: emotional,
spiritual, and physical reprecussions long reverberate. Abortion commonly causes medical problems for women. In addition, the emotional pain and guilt
often felt after abortion are even worse. This
month, Unite the USA is honored to share an article by Abby Johnson, a former director of Planned Parenthood who is now pro-life.
Abby shares the behind-the-scene work of Planned Parenthood and she reveals the realities of abortion. We also encourage you
to watch this poignant video of abortion survivor, Gianna Jessen. With God as our help, we can protect and fight for life! God bless, Carrie Beth and Stacie Ruth Stoelting Founders of Unite the USA |

| Action Points | In order for abortion to be abolished and, consequently Roe v. Wade overturned, the American people
must take action. Instead of just talking about it and conducting rallies, let's do something. Here are 5 tips
for real action: 1. Support ministries that aid teenage mothers. Examples include Bethany Christian Services (http://www.bethany.org/), Birthright International (www.birthright.org), Care-Net (https://www.care-net.org/), Christian Life Resources (http://www.christianliferesources.com/) and Life Dynamics (http://www.lifedynamics.com/). Donate time, money to Christian ministries, and help dissuade potential mothers from having abortions.
2. Contact your Congressmen and state legislators and urge them support anti-abortion legislation.
Click here to find your state legislators. Click here to find contact information for your Congressmen. 3. Write letters to the editor.
Make your voice heard about your pro-life position. Explain why abortion is wrong. 4. Vote
for pro-life candidates. Research and support proven anti-abortion candidates. Help elect pro-life men and women
to office. 5. Pray for our politicians and that Roe v. Wade will be repealed.
Pray for the mothers whose hearts were broken by abortion. Pray for families whose tables are not as full as a
result of abortion. Pray for our country. In conclusion,
remember that innocent, unborn children are depending on you to give them a voice. Cry out for the
babies that never cry! |

| Exposing
the Planned Parenthood Business Model | By Abby Johnson Myths about Planned Parenthood are
spreading like grassfire. Thanks to a perfect storm of events, the abortion provider is scrambling to cauterize the biggest
PR hit it has ever sustained. November's election of an overwhelmingly pro-life Congress, revelation of numerous violations
by its staff and repeated calls for its defunding by social and fiscal conservatives alike have put Planned Parenthood's lifeblood
on the line. Planned Parenthood's
bottom line is numbers. And, with abortion as its primary money-maker, that means implementing a quota. I know this is true
because I worked at one of their Texas clinics for 8 years, two as the clinic director. Though
98 percent of Planned Parenthood's services to pregnant women are abortion, Planned Parenthood and its political allies have
sworn up and down that taxpayer dollars do not to pay for abortion. But of course they do. Planned Parenthood gets one-third
of its entire budget from taxpayer funding and performed more than 650,000 abortions between 2008 and
2009. An abortion is expensive. Its cost includes pay for the doctor, supporting medical staff, their health benefits
packages and malpractice insurance. As clinic director, I saw how money affiliate clinics receive from several sources
is combined into one pot, not set aside for specific services. Planned Parenthood's claim that abortions make up just 3 percent of its services
is also a gimmick. That number is actually closer to 12 percent, but strategically skewed by unbundling family planning services
so that each patient shows anywhere from five to 20 "visits" per appointment (i.e., 12 packs of birth control equals
12 visits) and doing the opposite with abortion visits, bundling them together so that each appointment equals one visit.
The resulting difference between family planning and abortion "visits" is striking. But that's not the only deception Planned Parenthood is spreading. It also claims to help reduce the number of abortions.
Not only is this not what Planned Parenthood actually accomplishes, but its goal couldn't be more opposite. As a Planned
Parenthood clinic manager, I was directed to double the number of abortions our clinic performed in order to drive up revenue.
In keeping, Planned Parenthood headquarters recently issued a directive mandating that all of its affiliates provide abortions
by 2013. Planned Parenthood is also
spending a lot of money convincing its primary income providers - taxpayers - that its highest priority is women's health
and safety. Live Action and the Expose Planned Parenthood coalition released numerous undercover videos showing clinic
staff aiding and abetting alleged sex traffickers in exploiting underage girls - some as young as 14. After initially downplaying the first video as a scam, Planned Parenthood
of Central New Jersey came under so much pressure that it fired the office manager in the footage. New Jersey Attorney General
Paula Dow quickly called for an investigation, but Planned Parenthood's problems don't end with firing one office manager.
Later Live Action videos revealed an unbroken chain of similar problems in clinics up and down the East Coast. Planned Parenthood has found other ways to increase
revenue at the expense of women's safety. Abortion consultations are now often done without a doctor in the room through online
"telemedicine." Abortion is a severely traumatic and potentially dangerous procedure. Even as Planned Parenthood's
2008 Employee of the Year, I saw this aggressive push toward more "efficient" telemedicine as risky. Another nuisance the organization is seeking to
do away with is reporting sex abuse of minors. It has sued to overturn a child abuse reporting law applying to minors under
14 on the grounds that it violated a girl's "constitutional right to privacy." Planned Parenthood called the bill
unnecessary given that its medical personnel are already obliged to report such matters and that filing additional reports
would only "overload" the government. Planned Parenthood doesn't want to bother the government with protecting minors. It also can't be bothered to enable women to make informed decisions. Planned Parenthood has
adamantly opposed laws in nearly two dozen states that require clinic staff to show a woman a sonogram before an abortion.
With all the supposed health services these clinics provide, why should they fear sonograms? Because they cut down on
its biggest income source. With the Continuing Resolution battle
before us, we can, at very least, stop making taxpayers perpetuate a culture that puts profit margins before women's safety.
Congress has and must seize the opportunity to stop directing hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to recipients who deliberately
deceive the public and violate federal law. I joined Planned Parenthood because I wanted to help poor women with real health care needs. I still do -- that's
why I left. Planned Parenthood doesn't care about women's health care needs, it cares about abortion. It's time to defund Planned Parenthood of our tax dollars. |
About Abby Johnson | |
Abby
Johnson's life was changed on October 6, 2009. That was the day that she resigned from the largest abortion corporation in
the nation...Planned Parenthood.
Abby worked and volunteered for Planned Parenthood for eight years. For the last year of her employment,
Christ had been working on her heart. Although she didn't understand why, Abby had begun to question her work and the motivations
of the company she had dedicated herself to for eight years. In September 2009, she saw something that forever changed her mind on the issue of abortion.
Abby was asked to assist in an ultrasound guided abortion procedure. On the ultrasound screen she saw a 13 week baby in the
womb fight for its life...only to lose the battle in the end. Not knowing where to go, Abby turned to a local pro-life resource group, The Brazos
Valley Coalition for Life. She explained the events that she had witnessed and swore that she would begin to advocate for
life in the womb, instead of destroying it. Even though she had not intended on being a public figure, God had different plans. When Planned Parenthood
found out about Abby's change of heart, they were frightened that others would hear her story and then change their minds
on abortion. Their defense was to silence her with a temporary gag order and eventually take her to court. They also decided
to inform the media of their gag order. The media were very interested in Abby's story. A local news affiliate ran the story on the 10pm
news...by Monday morning she was receiving calls from Mike Huckabee and Bill O'Reilly. On November 10, 2009, Planned Parenthood
faced off with Abby in the courtroom. It was easy for the judge to see that the lawsuit was a sham. After an hour of testimony
from Planned Parenthood, the judge dismissed the case on the spot. On November 11th, Abby appeared on the O'Reilly Factor. Since her departure
from Planned Parenthood, Abby has been traveling the country sharing her story and motivating others to continue the pro-life
fight. She also works on projects for the national 40 Days for Life team. Abby lives in Texas with her husband and daughter. |
